G42-o<\/strong>wned Khazna Data Centers secured a USD 2.62 bn financin<\/strong>g facility from Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank <\/strong>and First Abu Dhabi Bank<\/strong>, according to a statement<\/a>. The 10-year facility will fund the company\u2019s expansion in the UAE and internationally, including new sites in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and the country\u2019s first AI-enabled data center in Ajman. <\/p>\n

The company aims to cement its domestic lead \u2014 with a 73% share of the UAE data center market \u2014 while pushing into new regional markets<\/strong>, the statement said.<\/p>\n

Khazna has been keeping busy:<\/strong> The Dubai-based company signed a head of terms agreement with Italian energy firm Eni <\/span>in July<\/a> to establish a JV to develop data centers in Italy, with the goal of establishing up to 1 GW of IT capacity in Italy. The firm is also making moves into <\/span>Turkey<\/a>, <\/span>Saudi Arabia<\/a>, and <\/span>Egypt<\/a>, and is partnering with international heavyweights <\/span>including Nvidia<\/a> to build data centers in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n
