Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund Mubadala Investment Company is investing<\/strong> in <\/strong>Romanian renewables developer Rezolv Energy<\/strong>, Profit.ro<\/a>. Actis, the UK-based sustainable infrastructure investor that launched Rezolv in 2022, will continue to operate and manage the renewables developer. <\/span>The European Commission <\/span>cleared the transaction (pdf)<\/a> last week. The value of Mubadala's investment was not disclosed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rezolv is active across Central and Eastern Europe<\/strong>, with a 2.5 GW portfolio spanning Romania, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, and Slovakia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rezolv\u2019s pipeline: <\/strong>The firm is developing the 1.04 GW Dama Solar project in Romania\u2019s Arad County \u2014 set to become Europe\u2019s largest solar park \u2014 alongside a 500 MW battery storage unit. Its domestic portfolio also includes a 600 MW wind farm in Constan\u021ba and a 461 MW wind project in Buz\u0103u, and it has secured four contracts for difference (CfD) totaling 951 MW in the country\u2019s first two state-run auctions.<\/p>\n

REMEMBER- <\/strong>Mubadala has been expanding its European infrastructure footprint this year, including investments in German facility manager Apleona<\/a>, UK biotech Juvenescence<\/a>, and school operator Nord Anglia Education<\/a>, as well as MoUs<\/a> with Hungary\u2019s 4iG Group to explore digital infrastructure.<\/p>\n
