Barclays <\/strong>appointed Farzad Billimoria (<\/strong>LinkedIn<\/a><\/strong>) as head of its private bank in the <\/strong>UAE<\/strong>, according to a press release<\/a>. Billimoria will be based in Dubai and report to Annabelle Bryde, Barclays\u2019 head of private bank international. Prior to Barclays, Billimoria served as the senior executive officer and head of private bank for the UAE at HSBC.<\/p>\n

Emirates <\/strong>Investment Bank names new independent director: <\/strong>Emirates Investment Bank's shareholders have elected Christophe de Backer (LinkedIn<\/a>) as a non-executive, independent director of the bank, according to a bourse disclosure (pdf)<\/a>.
