Mashreq facilitates the first sustainability-linked financing for Galadari <\/strong>Brothers: <\/strong>Our friends at Mashreq<\/a> structured the first sustainability-linked financing (SLF) for Emirati conglomerate Galadari Brothers<\/a> as part of a bilateral lending relationship, according to a joint statement (pdf<\/a>). The size of the loan was not disclosed, however it follows on from an initial green loan that Galadari secured from Mashreq in 2023<\/a> to support retrofitting at its Sri Lanka hotel.<\/p>\n

The details: <\/strong>The financing, one of the largest SLF facilities for an Emirati group, aims to integrate ESG principles into Galadari Brothers' operations, the statement read. The loan\u2019s three key indicators focus on building internal capabilities, enhancing corporate alignment with ESG standards, and promoting circular economy principles and resource efficiency.<\/p>\n
