The <\/strong>Abu Dh<\/strong>abi government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with S<\/strong>hanghai\u2019s Municipal People\u2019s Government<\/strong> during a visit by an economic delegation<\/a> to China, according to the Abu Dhabi Media Office<\/a>. The agreement covers sectors including business, trade, finance, science, tech, education, culture, health, tourism, and ports. The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry<\/a> (ADCCI) and the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce<\/a> also partnered to promote bilateral trade and streamline investment processes.<\/p>\n

The delegation explored potential collaboration with Chinese companies<\/strong> including ByteDance, consumer electronics firm Xiaomi<\/a>, investment group Legend Holding<\/a>, Xiaodong, manufacturing conglomerate BYD<\/a>, financial services firm CICC<\/a>, and tech company CATL<\/a>. Last week, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office<\/a> (Adio) inked a raft of agreements<\/a> with Chinese companies to increase bilateral investment cooperation, including with media company Yicai Global<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bilateral trade between the two countries is expected to hit USD <\/strong>200<\/strong> bn by 2030<\/strong>. The number of Chinese companies registered with ADCCI rose by 69.4% in 2024, while UAE investments in China increased by 120%.<\/p>\n

UAE<\/strong>, Pakistan discuss trade, investment, and regional stability: <\/strong>Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Pakistan\u2019s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Abu Dhabi to discuss strengthening bilateral ties, according to a ministry statement<\/a>. The talks focused on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, defense, and cultural exchanges.
