The agreement removes customs duties from 99% of Ukrainian imports of UAE goods and 97% of Ukrainian exports to the UAE. Negotiations for the agreement wrapped up in <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/uae\/en\/news\/story\/e07f0c62-e274-4b03-adf9-31e843da2c72\/uae,-ukraine-finalize%253cmark%253e-trade%253c%2Fmark%253e-talks\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">April 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The economic impact?<\/strong> By 2031, the agreement is projected to boost the UAE\u2019s GDP by USD 369 mn and Ukraine\u2019s by USD 874 mn. The partnership will focus on infrastructure, heavy industry, aviation, aerospace, and IT.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Background:<\/strong> The UAE\u2019s non-oil foreign trade soared 14.6% y-o-y to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/uae\/en\/news\/story\/08896e8e-9789-4070-b694-abee7f49ef0d\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">AED 3 tn<\/a> last year, with CEPAs contributing AED 135 bn to non-oil exports.
