We\u2019re back after a fairly quiet weekend, but we come bearing news on the IPO and M&A fronts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>In a nutshell: NMDC\u2019s IPO<\/strong> seems to be headed for a strong start and Brookfield Asset Management is courting <strong>ADQ <\/strong>to join its bid to acquire Spanish biopharma outfit <strong>Grifols<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>MEANWHILE-<\/strong> A consortium led by <strong>Masdar <\/strong>has lined up a USD 900 bn investment in <strong>solar <\/strong><strong>plants in Egypt<\/strong> and <strong>Adani Ports <\/strong>has acquired an 80% stake in Dubai\u2019s Astro Offshore. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">^^ We have the rundown on these stories and more below in this morning\u2019s news well. <\/p>\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">IN THE MARKETS-<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"> <strong>#1- The order book for the National Marine Dredging Company Energy\u2019s <\/strong><strong>(<\/strong><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nmdc-energy.com\/en\/ipo\/our-business\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">NMDC Energy<\/a><\/strong><strong>) ADX IPO <\/strong><strong>was 7x oversubscribed <\/strong>as of yesterday, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zawya.com\/en\/press-release\/companies-news\/nmdc-groups-ipo-of-nmdc-energy-7x-oversubscribed-within-day-2-igjy96z6\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">according to a statement<\/a>. The offering saw \u201cstrong investor interest\u201d despite the second day of the subscription falling on a weekend, the company said. <strong>Investors have until Wednesday<\/strong>, 4 September, to get their orders in. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>BACKGROUND- <\/strong>NMDC is listing a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/uae\/en\/news\/story\/ca6baeb7-98f6-4b31-a5fd-64b4830af625\/nmdc-to-list-23%2525-of-epc-unit-on-the-adx-in-aed-3.22-bn-ipo\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">23% stake<\/a> in its engineering, procurement and construction unit, NMDC Energy, on the ADX. The transaction is due to wrap up on 11 September. Offer shares are priced at AED 2.80 apiece, valuing the transaction at AED 3.22 bn.
