Crane and lifting services also climbed 14.3%, while cement prices rose 8.3% as contractors grapple with higher shipping costs and supply bottlenecks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">Construction hasn\u2019t taken a break <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>While construction did see awards fall 39.9% y-o-y to USD 7 bn in 1Q 2026, as we\u2019ve reported recently<\/strong>, several major construction contracts were <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2026\/04\/30\/project-awards-in-the-gulf-slow-in-the-wake-of-the-war\/\" style=\"\">awarded<\/a> earlier in the second quarter, and many real estate developers said construction on projects is moving ahead as planned, without delays. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Yes, but\u2026 <\/strong>There have been some reports of delayed shipping and supply chain disruptions weighing on developers\u2019 project timelines, including <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2026\/05\/11\/this-morning-wynn-confirms-rak-resort-delay-archer-aviation-is-a-step-closer-to-air-taxi-launch\/\" style=\"\">Wynn Resorts<\/a>, which said its planned opening date for the USD 5.1 bn Wynn Al Marjan Island project in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) would be pushed back.
