Inbound arrivals could contract by as much as <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2026\/03\/04\/uaes-tourisms-usd-70-bn-boom-hit-as-middle-east-conflict-sparks-cancellations\/\" style=\"\">27% y-o-y this year<\/a>, despite <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2026\/03\/31\/dubai-is-offering-financial-stimulus-for-tourism-art-and-more\/\" style=\"\">government efforts<\/a> to prop up the sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>ICYMI-<\/strong> We <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2024\/11\/20\/dubai-holding-mulls-ipos-for-commercial-and-residential-property-units\/\" style=\"\">previously reported<\/a> that the firm was exploring plans to list its commercial and residential property units on the DFM this year, in a plan that would bundle the commercial assets into a separate entity and its residential units into a REIT (which it already floated last year).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Emirates Global Aluminium\u2019s (EGA) much-anticipated IPO has also been pushed back <\/strong><strong>to at least next year<\/strong>, a source familiar with the matter told the FT. EGA had started investor meetings <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2026\/02\/03\/emirates-global-aluminium-taps-investors-ahead-of-ipo\/\" style=\"\">before the war<\/a>, when one of its smelters <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2026\/03\/30\/attacks-hit-industry-threatening-higher-commodity-prices-and-investor-caution\/\" style=\"\">suffered severe damage during the conflict<\/a>. The IPO was expected to be valued at USD 10-15 bn.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>REFRESHER<\/strong><strong>- <\/strong>We\u2019ve already reported that the war has put the brakes on dealmaking in the region, from <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2026\/04\/07\/uae-ipos-slip-into-wait-and-see-mode-as-war-hits-execution\/\" style=\"\">IPOs<\/a> to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2026\/04\/28\/mena-ma-activity-plunges-in-1q-2026-while-global-outlook-appears-rosier\/\" style=\"\">M&A<\/a>, amid a climate of heightened uncertainty. Total equity capital markets proceeds were <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2026\/04\/20\/a-quieter-than-usual-1q-for-regional-capital-markets\/\" style=\"\">down 91% y-o-y in 1Q<\/a>, and only four IPOs made it to market, down from 12 the year before. Local equity markets are still trading below prewar highs, with Dubai down around 9% and Abu Dhabi roughly 7%, the FT reported. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>It\u2019s more of a \u201cwait-and-see\u201d than \u201call [wagers] are off.\u201d <\/strong>However, Kapil Jobanputra, founder of Elaeo Partners, told the FT that processes are \u201cbroadly on hold\u201d as investors reassess risk and valuation. Analysts also told us the region\u2019s fundamentals were still intact and had proved its resilience before.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<hr style=\"height:2px;border-width:0;color:gray;background-color:gray\">\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><a id=\"wwtt2\"><\/a> <strong>IPO WATCH \u2014<\/strong> <strong>Across the pond, however, activity is holding up. <\/strong>Abu Dhabi Investment Authority-backed firm power equipment maker Innio is heading for an IPO on the US\u2019 Nasdaq, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-05-11\/advent-backed-power-equipment-maker-innio-files-for-us-ipo\" style=\"\">Bloomberg<\/a> reports, citing <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/2109150\/000119312526216625\/ck0002109150-20260511.htm\" style=\"\">filings<\/a> to the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Innio is also backed by US private equity firm Advent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Advent could seek a valuation of around USD 15 bn<\/strong> for the Munich-based company, people familiar with the matter told the business information service. The company will continue to be controlled by an entity backed by both shareholders after the IPO, the filing shows.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Why now? <\/strong>Despite closing out 1Q USD 7.2 mn in the red, the listing plan points to confidence in continued investor interest in firms linked to the AI boom. The agreement will also give Al Dahra access to sourcing corridors across Africa, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Americas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Why it matters: <\/strong>The UAE imports around 85-90% of its food, making resilient sourcing, storage, and distribution capacity a strategic pressure point \u2014 especially now, amid ongoing supply chain disruptions, with the Strait of Hormuz still closed.
