Dhabi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong>Plus, other UAE firms are making smaller steps overseas<\/strong>, including AD Ports, with its acquisition of a shipyard dedicated to SOVs \u2014 vessels needed for offshore wind farms \u2014 and Dubai Holding\u2019s acquisition of a hotel in Mallorca.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">Happening The index ranks countries according to other international perceptions of them, as well as their ability to influence these.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong>That brand strength is showing up at the corporate level: <\/strong>Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) became the first Emirati brand to enter Brand Finance\u2019s global top 100, while remaining the UAE\u2019s most valuable brand for the eighth consecutive year, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adnoc.ae\/en\/news-and-media\/press-releases\/2026\/brand-finance-names-adnoc-first-emirati-brand--to-enter-global-top-100\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>. Adnoc now ranks as the Middle East\u2019s second-most valuable brand and the sixth-most valuable oil and gas brand globally, with brand value up 11% y-o-y to USD 21.13 bn \u2014 a more than 350% increase since 2017.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><a id=\"wwtt2\"><\/a> <strong>Speaking of soft power\u2026<\/strong> <strong>The UAE has signed onto US President Donald Trump\u2019s B<\/strong><strong>oard of Peace<\/strong>, a planned organization that will look to address global conflicts, starting with a peace plan for Gaza, according to a Foreign Ministry <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mofauae\/status\/2013596622782181730?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong>The move puts the Emirates <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/middle-east\/uae-becomes-early-supporter-trumps-board-peace-with-formal-acceptance-2026-01-20\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">among the first countries<\/a><\/strong><strong> to publicly sign up to join the <\/strong><strong>board<\/strong>, joining only Hungary, as other leaders have stopped short of committing to it amid concerns over the details. This includes the fact that the US published a draft charter for the initiative, which some global leaders have criticized as an attempt to step on the UN\u2019s toes, and that while it aims to move toward halting other global conflicts after implementing peace in Gaza \u2014 that extension of the mandate wasn\u2019t greenlit by the UN Security Council in November.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\">.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong>Trump has also included some interesting caveats<\/strong>, including a three-year limit on membership \u2014 unless, that is, countries shell out USD 1 bn to fund the project \u2014 and a lifelong chairmanship for Trump himself.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong>The news comes hot on the heels of more UAE-US collaboration<\/strong>, after the Emirates <a href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2026\/01\/15\/abu-dhabi-joins-pax-silica-the-us-tech-supply-chain-coalition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sig<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2026\/01\/15\/abu-dhabi-joins-pax-silica-the-us-tech-supply-chain-coalition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ned onto the US-led Pax Silica framework<\/a> which aims to secure supply chains vital for the artificial intelligence sector.
