airstrike<\/strong>, targeting what Riyadh <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.spa.gov.sa\/N2478215\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">described<\/a> as weapons and heavy-vehicle shipments aboard two vessels arriving from Fujairah. The first <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/saudi-arabia-bomb-yemen-mukalla-weapons-uae-9fc56e4678a12f56d61b1ecf855d4a4e\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">has been identified<\/a> as the St. Kitts and Nevis-flagged Greenland, a RoRo vessel. \u201cThe ships\u2019 crew had disabled tracking devices aboard the vessels, and unloaded a large amount of weapons and combat vehicles in support of the Southern Transitional Council\u2019s (STC) forces,\u201d a statement published by state news agency <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.spa.gov.sa\/N2478173\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">SPA<\/a> said. Saudi Arabia made the move to combat the STC\u2019s military advances on its southern border with Yemen, which it deemed a \u201cthreat to the national security of the Kingdom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>UAE to pull its remaining troops in Yemen:<\/strong> Presidential council head of the Aden-based central government Rashad Al Alimi <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/middle-east\/saudi-led-coalition-yemen-calls-civilians-mukalla-port-evacuate-saudi-state-news-2025-12-30\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">accused<\/a> the UAE of \u201cpressuring\u201d the STC to \u201cundermine and rebel against the authority of the state.\u201d Al Alimi also announced that Yemen is canceling its defense pact with the UAE. The UAE Foreign Ministry issued a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mofa.gov.ae\/en\/mediahub\/news\/2025\/12\/30\/uae-saudi-arabia\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a> refuting claims of contributing to tensions in the country, asserting the targeted vessel didn\u2019t contain any weapons and the vehicles were destined for Emirati forces in Yemen. A UAE official told Reuters at the time that the UAE\u2019s position on Yemen \u201cis in line with Saudi Arabia in supporting a political process\u201d that is based on UN resolutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The UAE no longer has a footprint in Yemeni ports:<\/strong> Dubai\u2019s <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thenationalnews.com\/business\/dp-world-sails-away-from-aden-1.379772\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">DP World sold its stake<\/a> in the company managing Aden Port\u2019s container terminal \u2014 the Yemen Gulf of Aden Port Corporation \u2013\u2014 back in 2012.
