Let\u2019s dive in. <\/p>\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">WATCH THIS SPACE- <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><a id=\"wwtt1\"><\/a> <strong>Presight to work on Malaysia\u2019s digital transformation: <\/strong>G42 data analytics subsidiary <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.presight.ai\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Presight AI<\/a> and Malaysia\u2019s state-owned Madani AI are set to work together to develop AI solutions, develop sovereign cloud infrastructure, and roll out \u201capplications for digital transformation\u201d for government efficiency in Malaysia, according to a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apigateway.adx.ae\/adx\/cdn\/1.0\/content\/download\/4397423\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>. The partnership is also geared towards improving national safety and public security, the statement says. Madagascar and the UAE are already in talks for potential investments in sugar and vanilla processing plants, as well as luxury hotels and energy projects, Ralambofiringa said. Chairman of Dubai Chambers said Dubai\u2019s non-oil trade with Madagascar reached AED 1.3 bn in 2024, up from AED 692 mn in 2023, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wam.ae\/en\/article\/bjvvyhc-dubai-chambers-organises-dubai%E2%80%93madagascar-business\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Wam<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<hr style=\"height:2px;border-width:0;color:gray;background-color:gray\">\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Emirates <\/strong><strong>will resume flights to Damascus from Wednesday, 16 July<\/strong>, ending a suspension in place since 2012, according to an <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.emirates.com\/media-centre\/emirates-to-reintroduce-damascus-services-from-16-july\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Emirates travel update<\/a>. The decision followed a safety review with UAE aviation authorities. The initial service will run three times weekly \u2014 on Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday \u2014 from Dubai to Damascus International Airport using a 302-seat Boeing 777-200LR. This year\u2019s figures mark a modest improvement <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/uae\/en\/news\/story\/ded5a2dc-e113-4868-b5ab-5526c43a6a1f\/uae-firms-bullish-on-ai-despite-scarcity-of-talent-and-infrastructure\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">over last year<\/a>, but still far below what\u2019s needed to counter more complex and AI-enhanced cyber threats.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>55% of organizations fell victim to attacks in the past year<\/strong>, with malware, phishing, and data breaches remaining the most common threat types. More hybrid work environments do little to allay fears, with 88% of companies identifying unmanaged device usage as a key cybersecurity risk. While 93% of UAE respondents reported AI-related incidents, firms are still \u201ccritically exposed\u201d by an awareness gap, Cisco said \u2014 only 62% of respondents think their employees know the associated risks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Shadow AI and GenAI use are rising with little oversight<\/strong>, with around 45% of employees using authorized third-party GenAI tools and 54% of IT teams admit they don\u2019t fully track how staff are engaging with these tools. Unauthorized AI deployments\u2014 or \u201cshadow AI\u201d \u2014 is creating serious concerns over data privacy and exposure to unapproved apps. On the flip side, 96% of UAE firms are already using AI to analyze cyber threats.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Cyber budgets remain constrained: <\/strong>98% of UAE entities plan to modernize their IT infrastructure within the next one or two years, yet only 9% are committing more than a fifth of their IT budgets to cybersecurity. Meanwhile, 81% of firms say their current security setups are overly complex, hampering overall effectiveness. Buyout funds are on track to avoid a sixth straight quarterly drop. Not a single buyout fund that closed in 1Q cracked USD 5 bn \u2014 a first in a decade. More than 18k funds are chasing USD 3.3 tn in capital. That\u2019s USD 3 of demand for every USD 1 available. \u201cAlthough the decline might have bottomed out, hope for a recovery in the inflows of fresh capital has likely been pushed out into 2026 (or beyond),\u201d the report reads.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>LPs are after real exits, even at markdowns. <\/strong>In a March poll, 60% said they\u2019d prefer a traditional sale over alternatives even if it means taking a valuation hit. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Some 33% of LPs said they were slowing their private market investments in response to <\/strong><strong>US <\/strong><strong>tariffs, while 8% were pausing entirely<\/strong>, the report said, citing a survey by Campbell Lutyens in April. Some 28% of them are also looking to up their allocations to private credit, while 20% want to add more infrastructure positions to their portfolios, according to the same survey. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Secondary sales are one workaround:<\/strong> Chinese sovereign wealth fund China Investment Corporation is reportedly looking to offload USD 1 bn of US-managed PE assets.
