tn<\/strong>, the Abu Dhabi Statistics Center said in a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/scad.gov.ae\/web\/guest\/w\/abu-dhabi-s-gdp-grows-by-3-8-in-2024-with-non-oil-sector-expanding-by-6-2-\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>. Growth came on the back of an expansion in the non-oil sector, which grew 6.2%, marking a contribution of 54.7% to GDP \u2014 its highest ever.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>By the sector:<\/strong> The manufacturing sector remained the biggest non-oil contributor to GDP, with a 9.5% share and a record value of AED 111.6 bn, and 2.7% y-o-y growth. Coming in at a close second: the construction sector, which accounted for 9.1% of total GDP, growing 11.3% y-o-y. The financial and ins. sector also grew 10.7% y-o-y, contributing 6.6% of GDP, while the information and communications sector grew by the same amount and contributed 2.2%. Wholesale and retail contributed 5.3% of GDP, and transport and storage \u2014 which grew the most out of all sectors at 16.9% \u2014 accounted for 2.4%. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>In 4Q, GDP grew by 4.4%<\/strong>, while non-oil GDP expanded by 6.6%. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Abu Dhabi\u2019s growth mirrors federal levels of growth last year: <\/strong>The UAE\u2019s real GDP grew 3.8% y-o-y in 9M 2024 to reach AED 1.3 tn, with non-oil activity contributing 74.6% to total GDP. GDP is <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/uae\/en\/news\/story\/66eec068-4e17-42c1-8f36-07991034ddc9\/cbuae-says%253cmark%253e-gdp%253c%2Fmark%253e-grew-4%2525-last-year\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">expected to have grown around 4%<\/a> last year, according to the Central Bank of the UAE, with the cabinet saying it <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/uae\/en\/news\/story\/84b15e3a-f51b-4677-b117-d42bd5357c14\/uae%25e2%2580%2599s%253cmark%253e-gdp%253c%2Fmark%253e-surpassed-aed-1.7-tn-in-2024\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">surpassed AED 1.7 tn<\/a>. The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) sees growth coming in at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/uae\/en\/news\/story\/e95173c0-b4ed-49cf-8c38-460f770da475\/cbuae,-icaew-are-upbeat-on%253cmark%253e-the%253c%2Fmark%253e%253cmark%253e-uae%253c%2Fmark%253e%25e2%2580%2599s-growth-this-year\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">4.7%<\/a> this year, while <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/uae\/en\/news\/story\/9119f717-0e56-4ed0-be91-b8ae612622e3\/s&amp;p-global-sees-the-uae%25e2%2580%2599s-economy-growing-by-5.1%2525-in-2025\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">S&amp;P Global<\/a> and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/uae\/en\/news\/story\/d26af25a-1b70-4bb5-983d-6a308301755c\/fitch%25e2%2580%2599s-bmi-revises-uae%253cmark%253e-growth%253c%2Fmark%253e-forecast-down-slightly-for-2025,-remains-optimistic-for-2026\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Fitch Solutions\u2019<\/a> research unit BMI are the most optimistic of the bunch, expecting the UAE\u2019s real GDP to grow by 5.1% this year.
