Iran <\/strong>launched<\/strong> fresh missile and drone attacks on the UAE early this morning<\/strong>, the UAE\u2019s Defense Ministry said<\/a>, the second such assault this week. It remains unclear what Iran\u2019s targets in the UAE were, or whether there was any damage. This comes as the UAE sets up a committee<\/a> to keep track of Iran\u2019s attacks and the resulting damages, with more than 2k drones and hundreds of missiles launched against the UAE since the start of the war at the end of February. <\/p>\n

The renewed attacks on the UAE come a day after Iran <\/strong>attacked three US Navy<\/a><\/strong>destroyers<\/a><\/strong> transiting through the Strait of Hormuz yesterday, leading the US to retaliate with strikes that \u201ctargeted Iranian military facilities responsible for attacking US forces including missile and drone launch sites; command and control locations; and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance nodes,\u201d the US Central Command said<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Still, Washington insists the ceasefire remains in place<\/strong>, although Iran has yet to respond to the US\u2019 latest proposal to end the war<\/a>, which US officials had said earlier in the week<\/a> was in the final stretch before reaching an agreement. <\/p>\n

MEANWHILE- An Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) vessel reportedly made its <\/strong>way <\/strong>through the Strait of Hormuz yesterday<\/strong>, after going dark<\/a> for more than two weeks. The shit was last seen empty near the eastern entrance of Hormuz on 19 April, and has historically only been loading from Adnoc\u2019s Das Island LNG export plant. The vessel\u2019s passage followed Iran laying out a process<\/a> for seeking approvals to cross the Strait, though shipowners and executives are wary of being the first to test it out, especially after Tuesday\u2019s attack on an Adnoc tanker, which the UAE blamed on Iran. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
