The company also won a separate 500 MW storage tender. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>By the numbers: <\/strong>APL won the thermal project at a levelized tariff of INR 6.30 per kWh, supported by coal linkage under the government\u2019s Shakti policy, the news outlet reports. The Assam Electricity Regulatory Commission has cleared the plan. State utility Assam Power Distribution will be the offtaker. The thermal plant will be commissioned in phases starting December 2030.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>BACKGROUND- <\/strong>APL operates 18.15 GW of capacity across India and plans to scale to 42 GW by FY 2032, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/energy\/adani-power-emerges-lowest-bidder-32-gw-coal-tender-indias-assam-state-2025-10-31\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Reuters<\/a> has reported. The new projects align with Assam\u2019s plan to increase baseload thermal supply and develop long-duration pumped-storage to manage rising peak demand in the northeast.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Gulf-investors are backing Adani\u2019s renewable investments:<\/strong> Abu Dhabi-based International Holding Company invested about <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.adani.com\/newsroom\/media-releases\/international-holding-company-to-invest-usd-2-billion-in-adani-groups-green-portfolio\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">USD 2 bn<\/a> in Adani\u2019s energy businesses in 2022, including APL.
