It has been added to the list of authorized bodies issuing non-preferential certificates of origin. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Why this matters: <\/strong>The government expects the additional issuing authority to ease documentation processing for exporters, particularly SMEs, supplying to major trade partners including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>India\u2019s total bilateral trade with the MENA region reached INR USD 216 bn in FY 2024-2025<\/strong>, according to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.livemint.com\/news\/india-trade-west-asia-north-africa-markets-arab-countries-certificates-of-origin-11768381484991.html\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Mint<\/a>.
