Emirates<\/strong> finance chief is exiting in June: <\/strong>Emirates Group\u2019s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Michael Doersam (LinkedIn<\/a>) is reportedly set to step down by the end of June, a person familiar with the matter told<\/a> Bloomberg. Dubai\u2019s flagship carrier is currently selecting Doersam\u2019s successor \u2014 who is stepping down for personal reasons. Doersam took his top finance post back in 2021 \u2014 and previously served as the firm\u2019s vice president of outstation finance and risk management from 2006 to 2008.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s next?<\/strong> While the airline has not yet named a successor or issued a formal statement, the departure of a high-level veteran suggests a significant transition is coming for the world\u2019s largest long-haul carrier as it navigates a massive aircraft order book<\/a> and shifting regional competition. CEO Tim Clark, who\u2019s held his position since 2003 and is a close ally of Doersam, according to Bloomberg, has also been quietly preparing to cede control<\/a> to a successor. <\/p>\n
