The winner will finance and build the infrastructure to take the airport\u2019s capacity from 1.5 mn to 13 mn passengers over three phases. Qassim and Hail airports are also reportedly next in line.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong><a id=\"wwtt2\"><\/a>IN OTHER AVIATION NEWS- <\/strong><strong>FlyExpress <\/strong><strong>eyes entry into Indian market: <\/strong>Upcoming Dubai-based low-cost carrier <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/flyexpress.in\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">FlyExpress<\/a> is inching closer to securing the necessary licenses to operate in India, after <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.business-standard.com\/industry\/aviation\/india-aviation-new-airlines-noc-ram-mohan-naidu-indigo-crisis-125122400589_1.html\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">obtaining<\/a> an initial clearance from the country\u2019s Civil Aviation Ministry, alongside <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.alhindair.com\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Al Hind Air<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The government\u2019s move to clear the way for two new carriers could be seen as <\/strong><strong>efforts to break the duopoly in the Indian aviation sector<\/strong> and expand competition, after <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/b07a5052-5103-4f70-b30d-09741584dff4\/today:-qatar,-brookfield-form-jv-for-ai-infrastructure-%2B-egypt%25e2%2580%2599s-customs-chief-on-reforms-and-trade\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">widespread disruptions<\/a><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/b07a5052-5103-4f70-b30d-09741584dff4\/today:-qatar,-brookfield-form-jv-for-ai-infrastructure-%2B-egypt%25e2%2580%2599s-customs-chief-on-reforms-and-trade\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a> at IndiGo, India\u2019s largest airline by market share, wreaked havoc at airports earlier this month.
