The agreement would see the pair contribute capital and operating expertise to develop AI infrastructure in Qatar and other select markets, with the goal of supporting Qatar\u2019s ambition to become a hub for AI infrastructure and services in the region. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Brookfield\u2019s going big on AI: <\/strong>The move is part of a larger push by Brookfield to invest up to USD 100 bn into AI infrastructure globally through the Brookfield Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Fund (BAIIF). The fund \u2014 launched in November \u2014 is starting with a USD 10 bn target, and has reportedly already secured <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.agbi.com\/ai\/2025\/11\/kia-joins-brookfields-10bn-ai-initiative\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">at least USD 5 bn of funds<\/a> from its own assets, as well as from other partners including the Kuwait Investment Authority and US tech companies. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The regional AI race is on: <\/strong>The big ticket JV from Qatar comes months after Saudi and the UAE announced a flurry of hyperscaler investments to develop AI infrastructure at home and abroad. Here\u2019s a rundown:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PIF-backed Humain <\/strong>and <strong>AMD <\/strong>will invest <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/ksa\/en\/news\/story\/cb36474b-d5c7-4b30-9cb2-fce86198691e\/pif%25e2%2580%2599s-ai-powerhouse-humain-starts-strong,-securing-usd-bns-in-agreements\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">up to USD 10 bn<\/a><\/strong> over five years to deploy AI infrastructure in Saudi and the US;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Humain <\/strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/ksa\/en\/news\/story\/a2055f56-202b-430c-8850-08dcc38b5f28\/us-saudi-investment-forum-pushes-forward-usd-267-bn-in-new-agreements\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">launched<\/a> a JV with <strong>AMD<\/strong> and <strong>Cisco <\/strong>to build data centers in the Middle East, with an <strong>initial 1 GW capacity<\/strong> planned in Saudi;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Humain <\/strong>also inked a long-term partnership with <strong>Australia\u2019s AirTrunk<\/strong>, backed by Blackstone and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, to invest <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/edition\/logistics\/7db3bde8-51ee-4417-9b01-bcc1e23db725\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">USD 3 bn investment<\/a><\/strong> in data centers acrossthe Kingdom;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Humain <\/strong>and <strong>Amazon Web Services (AWS)<\/strong> will jointly invest over <strong>USD 5 bn<\/strong> to establish an <strong>AI Zone<\/strong> in the Kingdom;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Humain <\/strong>will also build a <strong>500 MW data center<\/strong> in Saudi in collaboration with Elon Musk\u2019s
