DHL taps Hassan Allam, Agility for 11k sqm warehouse in Egypt<\/strong>:<\/strong> Global freight giant DHL Express has partnered with Yanmu East Logistics Park \u2014 a JV between our friends at Hassan Allam Utilities and Kuwait\u2019s Agility \u2014 to open a warehouse in the zone, according to a statement<\/a>. Under the partnership, DHL has procured an 11k sqm warehouse with a 14-meter clearance height in Yanmu. <\/p>\n

Many eyes are on Yanmu:<\/strong> Several major regional and global players set up shop in Yanmu over the last year, including Talabat<\/a>, Ibnsina Pharma<\/a>, and Haier<\/a>. <\/p>\n

PROJECTS-<\/p>\n

Egyptian firms eye Morocco for USD 100 mn logistics projects: <\/strong>Construction firms affiliated with the Egyptian Transport Ministry are looking to secure up to USD 100 mn worth of projects in Morocco over the next two years, government sources told Asharq Business<\/a>. The companies plan to enter the market through road, bridge, and railway projects. Firms are already in talks with their Moroccan counterparts to form joint ventures ahead of competing for projects \u2014 Ali Tazi, head of the Egyptian-Moroccan Business Council, expects Egyptian firms to secure contracts worth up to USD 1 bn.<\/p>\n

FREIGHT FORWARDING-<\/p>\n

DP World expands freight forwarding operations to Sweden: <\/strong>DP World is expanding into Sweden with the launch of freight forwarding operations in Stockholm and Gothenburg, starting next February, according to a press release<\/a>. Two new offices will connect Swedish importers and exporters with DP World\u2019s international network. DP World-owned company Foodtankers, Business Sweden, and the Swedish Trade and Invest Council will also support the rollout. <\/p>\n
