Shipping lines have been encouraged by the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/be9c7e1a-4c0b-4df9-bd48-8e6e3dfbc11f\/hamas-and%253cmark%253e-israel%253c%2Fmark%253e-reach-phase-one-agreement-in-sharm-el-sheikh\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Israel-Hamas ceasefire agreement<\/a> and are \u201cdeveloping quarterly plans\u201d on the premise that the war and Houthi attacks cease completely, he added. The ease in tensions will force shipping players to return to the shipping channel, Al Samdoni predicts, in a bid to speed up supply chains and the arrival of goods.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>But shipping lines will still wait for \u201cat least three months of stability and security in the <\/strong><strong>waterway\u201d before making concrete plans to return<\/strong>, Al Samdoni said. Shippine lines are still cautious about returning to the Suez Canal and are waiting for \u201call safety measures to be in place,\u201d a shipping agency source told EnterpriseAM.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The expected return of traffic to the Suez Canal would be welcome news for the country\u2019s <\/strong><strong>FX reserves and overall revenues<\/strong>, as well as contributing to an easing of <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/1126d416-82d3-4504-a2b5-a3c61bd9c6f3\/imf-upgrades-global-growth-forecast,-warns-of-tariffs-and-ai-bubble\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">global inflation<\/a>, Al Samdoni told us. The Suez Canal \u201cshould listen to agencies\u2019 demands and offer incentives not only on transit fees but also for logistics services across the corridor to attract investments,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>\u2026but incentives are already in place:<\/strong> The Suez Canal Authority <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/0c453e3a-eb98-4eb2-9bac-e25e8ca3534f\/today:-cwa%25e2%2580%2599-textile%25e2%2580%2599s-new-factory-in-sokhna-industrial-zone-%2B-turkish-airlines,-dib-ink-islamic-finance-agreement\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">extended<\/a> its 15% reduction on container ship crossing fees until the end of 2025 in a bid to encourage traffic through the strait.
