The move follows an agreement reached last week in a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/presidencysyr\/posts\/pfbid0raTroRdDkYARywq1gx4ZEmJxAr7GEpx6s3SwJyk87nDD2UakxLHLiMgzFvjuV3wZl\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">meeting<\/a> between Syrian premier Ahmed Al Sharaa and CEO and Chairman Rodolphe Saad\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Where\u2019s the money going? <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Expanding the container terminal\u2019s capacity to handle over 1 mn TEUs per year;<\/li>\n<li>Digitizing port functions, including cargo handling;<\/li>\n<li>Revamping infrastructure to accommodate larger vessels with 16-meter drafts;<\/li>\n<li>Integrating rail and road links; <\/li>\n<li>Establishing and operating new dry ports elsewhere in Syria.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>REMEMBER- CMA CGM agreed to invest <\/strong><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/13d68586-01c7-46f7-a6e2-9f4df6332794\/cma-cgm-to-invest-eur-230-mn-in-syria%25e2%2580%2599s-latakia-port\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">EUR 230 mn<\/a><\/strong><strong> to upgrade the Syrian port earlier<\/strong><strong> this year<\/strong>, committing EUR 30 mn for the first year of its 30-year concession. CMA will also <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/f188adc6-9136-4b5c-88fa-2c966cb10924\/cma-cgm-to-develop-dry-ports-in-syrian,-jordanian-freezones\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">develop and operate dry ports<\/a> in both the Syrian-Jordanian Joint Freezone and the Adra freezone.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>That\u2019s not all in Syria: <\/strong>Beyond CMA CGM\u2019s moves, more projects and investments across Syria\u2019s logistics sectors are lining up, with a pipeline that includes the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A <\/strong><strong><a target=\"_blank\"
