The decision will hike output 411k barrels and comes after Kazakhstan reportedly continued to report record figures at the oil pump and Iraq failed to comply with production cuts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>#2- <\/strong><strong>Baltic index dips once<\/strong><strong> again:<\/strong> The Baltic Exchange\u2019s dry bulk sea freight index \u2014 which tracks rates for the capesize, panamax, and supramax vessel segments \u2014 <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/tradingeconomics.com\/commodity\/baltic\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">fell 3.3%<\/a> to 1,489 points on Friday. The capesize dipped 5% to 2,219 points, while the panamax index fell by 2.7% to reach 1,425 points, its highest in five months. The smaller supramax index decreased by 2 points to 971. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>#3- <\/strong><strong>The Drewry World Con<\/strong><strong>tainer Index rose by 2% to USD 2,208 per 40-ft container on Thursday,<\/strong> according to the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.drewry.co.uk\/supply-chain-advisors\/supply-chain-expertise\/world-container-index-assessed-by-drewry\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">latest index readings<\/a>. Spot rates for 40-ft containers are at their lowest since January 2024 and 79% below the previous pandemic peak, but remain 55% above the pre-pandemic rate of USD 1.4k. The average composite index YTD is USD 2,993 per 40ft container, which is USD 105 higher than the 10-year average rate of USD 2,887.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>#4- <\/strong><strong>European <\/strong><strong>nat. gas continues to drop:<\/strong> Lower temperatures and strong LNG supplies have contributed to a continued dip in benchmark future prices for European natural gas, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-03-26\/european-gas-slips-as-ample-lng-flows-help-ease-storage-worries\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg<\/a> reported last week. LNG <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/0071b4e7-faf3-4980-8785-b9f6ce5c5ff6\/lng-has-taken-over-europe%25e2%2580%2599s-energy-supply,-oapec-sec-gen-says\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">has been replacing<\/a> Russian natural gas as Europe\u2019s top imported fuel, with boosted imports from the US, Qatar, Algeria, and Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">DATA POINT- <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The <\/strong><strong>Middle Ea<\/strong><strong>st will account for 10% of new global LNG liquefaction capacity by 2030<\/strong>, driven by the region\u2019s reserves and heightened global demand for LNG, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.offshore-technology.com\/analyst-comment\/qatar-dominate-lng-liquefaction-capacity-additions-middle-east-2030\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Offshore Technology<\/a> reported last week. Qatar will account for more than 65% of the Middle East\u2019s total capacity, with liquefaction terminals such as North Field East, North Field South, and North Field West poised to play a major role in the capacity increase.
