But first, an update on the US\u2019s upcoming export-oriented LNG project\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>THE BIG LOGISTICS STORY- <\/strong><strong>Trump<\/strong> <strong>greenlights Venture Global\u2019s LNG exports: <\/strong>The Trump administration has granted Venture Global LNG \u2014 the US\u2019 second-largest LNG exporter \u2014 conditional approval to export natural gas from the firm\u2019s planned <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ventureglobal.com\/projects-cp2\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">CP2 project<\/a> in Louisiana. The conditional approval will also allow the firm to export to countries that have no freetrade agreements with the US.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>More details: <\/strong>Once operational, the facility \u2014 located in Louisiana\u2019s Cameron Parish \u2014 will be able to export up to 3.96 bn cubic feet per day of LNG. It will produce 20 mn tons of LNG annually and potentially cost USD 28 bn to build. Venture Global is yet to make a final investment decision on the project. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>It hasn\u2019t been easy:<\/strong> Former US President Joe Biden held up approval for the project in January 2024 after environmental groups argued that the facility would prolong the transition to clean energy.
