Controls are to be placed on semiconductors manufacturing equipment needed to produce advanced-node integrated circuits, certain etch, deposition, lithography, ion implantation, annealing, metrology inspection and cleaning tools. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">MARKET WATCH- <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>#1-<\/strong><strong> Oil prices rose in early morning trading as investors weigh up geopolitical tensions <\/strong><strong>and Opec+ supply cut extensions against weakened demand<\/strong>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/markets\/commodities\/oil-steady-markets-weigh-higher-us-stockpiles-opec-supply-plans-2024-12-04\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Reuters<\/a> reports. Meanwhile, Iraq slashed production for the third month in a row, cutting some 70k bbl \/ d at 4.1 mn bbl \/ d. The slowdown has impacted global crude prices and frustrated OPEC's supply plans. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>#4-<\/strong><strong> Baltic index continues decline: <\/strong>The Baltic Exchange\u2019s dry bulk sea freight index \u2014 which tracks rates for the capesize, panamax, and supramax vessel segments \u2014 <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/tradingeconomics.com\/commodity\/baltic\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">dropped about 4.7%<\/a> to 1,237 points on Tuesday, dropping to its lowest since September 2023. The smaller supramax index remains unchanged at 979 points.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">DATA POINT- <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Total air cargo demand jumped 9.8% y-o-y in cargo tonne-km in October with air cargo <\/strong><strong>capacity rising by 5.9% y-o-y<\/strong>, according to an International Air Transport Association (IATA) <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.iata.org\/en\/pressroom\/2024-releases\/2024-12-03-01\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>. Air cargo yields globally, including any additional surcharges, grew by 10.6% y-o-y this year, and surged up 49% compared to 2019 levels.
