Some 80% of Iraq\u2019s imported goods come through Um Qasr\u2019s ports. The MSW project will be implemented at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/fb6168f1-aeb0-4595-baa5-6c6440a18402\/today:-saudi%25e2%2580%2599s-pif-sets-up-new-investment-company-for-automotive-supply-chain-%2B-iraq%25e2%2580%2599s%253cmark%253e-grand-faw-%253c%2Fmark%253eport-is-now-80%2525-complete\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Iraq\u2019s Grand Faw Port<\/a> next, slated to open in December, the statement notes. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Why is this important?<\/strong> IMO member states are required to digitize their maritime facilities through the one-stop MSW digital platform effective last January. The move looks to boost access to key information regarding ship movement at ports and streamline procedures and efficiency between global ports. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\">REMEMBER- Digitalization and paperless trade <\/strong><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/95623f60-796e-45de-a6d7-d02261437fab\/dp-world-report-calls-on-countries-to-adopt-paperless-trade-and-sws\" rel=\"noopener\">boosts efficiency and cuts costs<\/a><\/strong><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> in cross-border trade<\/strong><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">, and it stands to transform the global movement of goods. Single window initiatives \u2014 mediated via the World Trade Organisation\u2019s Trade Facilitation Agreement \u2014 have demonstrated substantial benefits in terms of boosting trade and cutting delays and costs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">AVIATION-<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Delta + Riyadh Air enter into new partnership:<\/strong> Major US airline Delta Air has inked an MoU with Riyadh Air to boost connectivity and expand their networks, according to a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.riyadhair.com\/en\/media-hub\/delta--riyadh-air-sign-strategic-agreement-to-expand-connectivit\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>. The partnership \u2014 which includes interline and codeshare connectivity \u2014 aims to offer a diverse range of benefits to travelers in the US, Saudi Arabia, and across the world.
