<\/strong>Dubai South + Aldar<\/strong> to develop facility for Kuehne + Nagel:<\/strong> Dubai South and Abu Dhabi-based real estate developer Al Dar Properties (Aldar) inked an agreement to develop a build-to-suit facility for Swiss-based logistics provider Kuehne+Nagel<\/a> at Dubai South\u2019s EZDubai e-commerce hub, according to a press release<\/a>. The investment ticket for the agreement was not disclosed. <\/p>\n

What we know: <\/strong>Slated for delivery in 2Q 2025, the facility will span an area of 22.9k sqm and provide third-party logistics services (3PL), goods handling services, office space, warehousing capabilities, and an amenities block, the statement notes. The facility will also leverage connections via a bonded logistics corridor to nearby Al Maktoum International Airport and Jebel Ali Port. <\/p>\n

REMEMBER-<\/strong> Dubai South and Aldar formed a JV back in February<\/a> to develop Grade A logistics facilities at Dubai South\u2019s Logistics District. The facilities include developing build-to-lease and build-to-suit facilities for tenants including third-party logistics (3PL), e-commerce, and retail. <\/p>\n

Aldar has big plans for UAE\u2019s logistics sector: <\/strong>The developer earmarked AED 1 bn<\/a> for logistics expansions in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in January. The developer acquired 7 Central Logistics Hub from steel supplier Seven Seas Steel Industries and an adjacent plot in the Dubai Investment Park.
