Bahrain\u2019s land transport strategy contract garners 11 bids from global <\/strong>consultants: <\/strong>Bahrain's Transport and Telecommunication Ministry request for proposals (RFP) tender for consultancy services to develop a national land transport strategy has attracted 11 bids from multinational consultants, Zawya<\/a> reports. The bidders in the running are: Arthur D Little<\/a>, Frost & Sullivan<\/a>, Saudi Tech for Engineering Consultants<\/a>, Crescar Partners Project Management Service<\/a>, IDOM Consulting Engineering Architecture<\/a>, MJ Management Consultancy<\/a>, Oliver Wyman<\/a>, MTI Consulting, A.T. Kearney Middle East<\/a>, Orient Middle East Advisory Co<\/a>, and Egis International<\/a>. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s a wide range:<\/strong>The lowest bid came in from consulting solutions firm MTI Consulting, at BHD 100k, while the highest bid was from US management consulting firm Oliver Wyman, at BHD 1.7 mn.<\/p>\n

The details:<\/strong> The chosen contractor is expected to develop a vision and strategic objectives for Bahrain\u2019s land transport strategy, list initiatives and projects, and review current activities based on best practices and GCC guidelines.<\/p>\n

Saudi-Jordanian Joint Land Transport Technical Committee <\/strong>concludes two-day <\/strong>talks in Jeddah:<\/strong> The committee looked at measures to boost trade and bilateral exchange, and discussed challenges facing carriers and licensed establishments in the land transportation sector, SPA<\/a> reports. Both parties agreed on a set of solutions to improve land transport efficiency between Jordan and KSA, the report said.<\/p>\n

Saudi Export-Import Bank signed an MoU with Japanese state-owned Nippon Export and <\/strong>Investment Ins. to streamline mutual exports<\/strong>, Argaam<\/a> reported on Saturday. The agreement \u2014 which was signed during the Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef\u2019s visit \u2014 should see the two parties establish guiding principles for cooperation and bilateral relations, in addition to mitigating risks associated with cross-border transactions.<\/p>\n
