Egypt\u2019s <\/strong>SCZone is on the hunt for investments:<\/strong> Egypt\u2019s Suez Canal Economic Zone<\/a> (SCZone) has signed an agreement with Banque du Caire to extend financial support towards attracting investments to the SCZone, according to a statement<\/a>. The agreement will also see the bank provide financial support and advisory services for the zone\u2019s projects, centering on sectors including infrastructure. The bank\u2019s UAE subsidiary will organize promotional efforts and handle any challenges faced by investors in the Gulf Cooperation Council. <\/p>\n

Swiss is back in full force: <\/strong>Lufthansa-owned Swiss International Airlines\u2019 (Swiss<\/a>) entire fleet is now operational, with the return of 25 aircraft mothballed in Amman due to the pandemic-induced drop in demand, according to a statement<\/a>. The last of the stored aircraft, an A320 HB-IJO, came back from its three years in storage by resuming passenger services with a flight from Zurich to Berlin on Tuesday. <\/p>\n

Maersk\u2019s new weekly service connects Tunisia to Europe<\/strong>:<\/strong> Danish shipping company Maersk has launched a weekly service connecting Tunisia\u2019s Rades Port to Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, according to a statement<\/a>. The service operates with a dedicated ro-ro vessel connecting Rades to Cagliari Port, Italy. The vessel leaves Rade Port on Friday evening, calling on Cagliari Port on Saturday and Tangier Port, Morocco on Thursday. The service aims to reduce overall transit times and increase reliability, the statement notes. Maersk is also providing customers with a range of services in Tunisia including a bounded warehouse, inland transportation, depot services, and cold chain logistics.<\/p>\n

ELECTRIC MOBILITY-<\/strong><\/p>\n

Aramex to use <\/strong>electric sea gliders for middle mile logistics: <\/strong>UAE provider of logistics and transport solutions Aramex has inked an MoU with US-based electric sea glider manufacturer Regent<\/a> to use the latter\u2019s electric sea gliders in middle mile logistics, according to a statement<\/a>. The two companies aim to explore the viability of integrating Regent\u2019s high-speed seagliders into Aramex\u2019s existing logistics network. The partnership will identify efficient alternatives to existing middle mile routes, where seagliders could potentially transport cargo from primary ports to secondary coastal distribution nodes. <\/p>\n
