AfDB lends EUR 246 mn to Moroccan highway project: <\/strong>The<\/a>African<\/a>Development<\/a>Bank<\/a> (AfDB) will disburse EUR 246 towards construction of Morocco\u2019s Guercif-Nador highway project, according to a statement<\/a>. The funding package comprises EUR 200 mn from AfdDB with an additional USD 46 mn from the Africa Growing Together Fund. The major project is slated to upgrade Morocco\u2019s transport infrastructure and boost logistics competitiveness, the statement said.<\/p>\n

What project? <\/strong>The Guercif-Nador highway project looks to boost connectivity in Morocco\u2019s Oriental region and will provide a link to the future port of Nador West Med and its business park. It will connect Nador, Guercif, and all other towns along the project\u2019s corridor and will be integrated with the national road grid.
