MOL + Cosmo Oil sign MoU to explore CO2 shipping:<\/strong>Japanese shipping giant Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) and energy firm Cosmo Oil are teaming up to study ocean transportation of CO2, according to a press release<\/a>. The two parties have signed an MoU to establish a CO2 capture and storage value chain, and to study the estimated shipping costs and potential partnerships on carbon capture and storage, separation, ocean transport, and reuse. They will also study and outline the specifications of liquefied CO2 carriers needed to transport volumes produced by Cosmo refineries to storage facilities in Japan.<\/p>\n

Kenya will remove existing visa requirements for all Africans by the end of 2023<\/strong>, Business<\/a>Insider Africa<\/a> reports. The move, announced by President William Ruto, aims to boost intra-African trade and address low levels of intra-African commerce. President Ruto additionally called for the lowering of customs tariffs across the continent to encourage trade of goods and services. Ruto also said the country plans to open embassies in the Congo Republic, Ivory Coast, Morocco and Eritrea, according to Zawya<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Australia has walked away from talks in Osaka on a trade agreement with the <\/strong>European Union<\/strong> for the second time in a few months, Bloomberg<\/a> reports. Talks broke down over a number of agricultural issues, including Australia\u2019s demand for greater access to the European market for its beef, mutton, and sugar exports. The two parties have been working towards a trade pact for five years, until Australia walked out of the last round of negotiations in July. Australia\u2019s Trade Minister Don Farrell says that while they have \u201cnot been able to make progress\u201d in the talks with the EU, negotiations will continue and he is \u201chopeful\u201d they will eventually come to an agreement that benefits both parties.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
