Jordan plans to issue tenders for the development of a border crossing with <\/strong> Saudi Arabia in early 2024<\/strong>, with construction set to begin in the first quarter of next year, Aqaba Development Corporation<\/a>(ADC) CEO Hussein Al Safadi said at a presser, according to Jordanian daily Al Ghad<\/a>. The developments, which will cost some JOD 22 mn, will be fully funded by the ADC, Al Safadi added.<\/p>\n

The details: <\/strong>The upgrades were needed following an uptick in the volume of transiting goods and passengers between Haql on the Saudi side of the border and Aqaba, Al Safadi noted.
