A <\/strong> bu Dhabi-based AI firm <\/strong>G42<\/a><\/strong> is partnering with Microsoft to expand <\/strong> existing data center infrastructure in the UAE<\/strong>, according to a press release<\/a>. The agreement will enable the UAE\u2019s public sector and regulated industries to use new platform capabilities to secure sensitive data, providing access to cloud and AI features on Microsoft\u2019s Azure public cloud, and facilitating their compliance with local privacy and regulatory requirements by leveraging G42\u2019s knowledge of UAE requirements, according to the release. The partnership will utilize its AI solutions and offerings in healthcare, life sciences, and energy, as well as for projects like COP28.<\/p>\n

Cemex will supply more than 200k cubic meters of low-carbon Vertua concrete for <\/strong> the expansion of Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi<\/strong>, according to a press release<\/a>. Vertua concrete can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 70% without compromising performance, according to the statement. Khalifa Port, situated between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, serves 25 major shipping lines and connects to over 70 international destinations. <\/p>\n

Oman floats tenders for consultancy services for new road projects in Dakhiliyah: <\/strong>Oman\u2019s Transport, Communications and Information Technology Ministry is launching two tenders for consultancy services for road development projects in the Dakhiliyah governorate,according to a statement<\/a>. One tender invites bidders to provide consultancy services for the design and construction of the road linking the Jabal Akhdar mountain range in Dakhiliyah to south of Al Batinah before 15 October. The second consultancy services tender invites bidders to apply for a contract to supervise the design and construction of the Afri Hill road, spanning from Samail in Dakhiliyah to Izki, and for the Asphalt road to Al Saqari village, the statement said, with the deadline for application submissions set for 11 October. <\/p>\n
