Oman Air<\/a><\/strong> and <\/strong>Oman Airports<\/a><\/strong> have dissolved their boards and elected new ones<\/strong>, according to Oman News Agency (ONA)<\/a>. Both boards will be chaired by Oman\u2019s Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology Said Al Maawali. Oman Air and Oman Airports did not disclose who the new members of the board will be in their announcement<\/a>, though the new members have \u201cextensive global experience in the aviation sector,\u201d the statement said. <\/p>\n

What the new boards have done so far: <\/strong>Oman Air\u2019s new board of directors approved the carrier\u2019s new organizational structure, board committees, and actions to implement a new financial sustainability program. Meanwhile, Oman Airports\u2019 new board has undertaken a review of the firm\u2019s strategy for the next five years, examined the company\u2019s financials for 1H 2023, appointed a new deputy chairman of the board, and approved committees serving under the board, ONA added.<\/p>\n

Background: <\/strong> The shakeup in Oman Air\u2019s leadership comes on the heels of a \u201ccomprehensive\u201d restructuring program<\/a> announced at the beginning of the month.
