The JV agreement will be for a 30-year lease for land at the \u015awinouj\u015bcie port, the press release said, without breaking down <\/span><span>the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">responsibilities of each firm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">The details: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">The terminal will be able to handle up to 2 mn TEU per year, and can service two ships simultaneously \u2014 one 400 meter ship, and one 200 meters. The terminal will be equipped with low-emission equipment, and constitute dual-use infrastructure, meaning it will be applicable for both commercial and military use, according to the release.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">Timeline: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">The terminal \u2014 which will be built over two stages \u2014 is earmarked to begin operations in early 2028, with capacity reaching 1 mn TEU in the first stage, according to the statement.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">About the companies:<\/span><span> QTerminals is jointly established by Qatar Ports Management company (Mwani Qatar), which owns 51% of the company, and Qatar Navigation (Milaha), which owns 49%. The company is responsible for enabling Qatar\u2019s imports, exports, and maritime trade flows by providing container, general cargo, <\/span><span>roro<\/span><span>, livestock and offshore services in Qatar\u2019s Hamad Port, according to its <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/qterminals.com\/about-us\/#the-company\" style=\"\">website<\/a><\/span><span>.
