The expansion looks to consolidate the outfit\u2019s regional operations, meet growing demand, enhance the firm\u2019s supply chain solutions for the region, as well as boost efficiency and shipping transparency, the release said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">The new Dubai office is \u201cideally situated\u201d as a consolidation and distribution hub for AIT\u2019s operations in the Eastern Hemisphere<\/span><span style=\"\">, the company said. AIT-Dubai will service clients who translate freight from air to ocean via Dubai, according to the statement.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">The new location will enable the consolidation of AIT\u2019s regional operations within the wider context of the company\u2019s global transport management system, AIT\u2019s Vice President of India and Middle East Vikram Paul said. \u201cWe are increasing overall transparency for our customers with business in and\/or passing through the Middle East,\u201d Paul added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">AIT is also looking to bank on Dubai\u2019s status as a hub for automotive, government and aerospace, life sciences, and high-tech industry<\/span><span style=\"\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">a company representative who asked to remain unnamed told Enterprise Logistics. \u201cAIT has well-established global teams staffed by subject matter experts skilled in providing the special services required by shippers in these sectors. The company expects that a notable portion of the new business tied to the Dubai office will come from customers in these industries looking for the high performance, flexible supply chain solutions that AIT is known for,\u201d they said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">Some of the specialized freight services in the Dubai pipeline: <\/span><span style=\"\">S<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">ervices for tech companies shipping sensitive cargoes such as data racks and other fragile components will be covered from Dubai, the press release said. The new office will also cater to the UAE\u2019s booming automotive sector, providing shipments for electric vehicle components. Looking ahead, AIT is angling to roll out special services for the aerospace sector from its Dubai\u2019s office, which might also see the launch of temperature-controlled shipments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">The global logistics outfit \u201cexpects to open additional offices in the Middle East,\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\"> the representative told us, without specifying timeframes and locations.
