Conversion work at the site should kick off around \u201cJune or the beginning of July,\u201d Kuzi said on the sidelines of Paris Air Show 2023..<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">The details: <\/span><span style=\"\">The company is set to establish \u201ctwo conversion lines accommodating multiple aircraft conversions per year\u201d at Abu Dhabi airport, according to the initial <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.etihad.com\/en-eg\/news\/etihad-engineering-and-israel-aerospace-industries-team-up-to-provide-passenger-to-freighter-conversions\" style=\"\">framework agreement<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">. The facility will reportedly have the capacity to convert 100 Boeing aircraft, AIN writes, without clarifying the period of time over which these conversions will take place. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">The center, for which <\/span><span style=\"-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;font-weight:700;text-decoration-skip-ink:none\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.etihad.com\/en-eg\/news\/etihad-engineering-and-israel-aerospace-industries-team-up-to-provide-passenger-to-freighter-conversions\" style=\"\">agreements<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight:700\"> were signed in 2021, is slated to be the largest and most advanced in the Middle East<\/span><span style=\"\">, as per IAI statements cited by <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/aerospace-defense\/israel-aerospace-etihad-open-aircraft-conversion-site-abu-dhabi-2021-08-25\/\" style=\"\">Reuters<\/a><\/span><span style=\"\"> at the time of the agreement.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">The arrangement looks to benefit from a spike in demand for freight aircraft and is a \u201cgreener, more profitable highly innovative solution,\u201d Etihad Engineering\u2019s statement said. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">Tens of orders for converted aircraft are already in the pipeline<\/span><span style=\"\">,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Kuzi added. Emirates ordered four converted 777s in 2021 that will likely be converted at the new Abu Dhabi facility, according to AIN. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">More conversion lines + more aircraft types coming?<\/span><span style=\"\"> The number of conversion lines could be increased to three or more,<\/span><span style=\"\">depending on the readiness of facilities at Abu Dhabi airport, Kuzi told AIN.
