A joint venture by Italy-based <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.webuildgroup.com\/en\" style=\"\">Webuild<\/a><\/span><span style=\"\"> and KSA\u2019s <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/sajco\/?originalSubdomain=sa\" style=\"\">Shibh Al-Jazira Contracting<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\"> (SAJCO) will reportedly undertake construction of the new route, dubbed Connector South. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">Details: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">The 75 km-long rail link will include 14 viaducts, road and railway underpasses, a freight line, as well as infrastructure maintenance depots and auxiliary facilities, the agency reported. It is composed of both onshore and floating offshore elements and is slated to be a tech and industry hub with an emphasis on sustainable energy, robotics, sustainable food production, and digital manufacturing.<\/span><span> Residents will begin to inhabit the city by 2024, according to Neom\u2019s <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neom.com\/en-us\/about\" style=\"\">website<\/a><\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">About The Line: <\/span><span style=\"\">Construction on the linear city that is slated to house 1 mn residents began in January 2021. The project is a world-first and will see mirror-faced high-rises linked along a 170 km-long infrastructure corridor.
