<\/span>DP World has launched a new weekly shipping line linking its facility on India\u2019s <\/span>Malabar coast to the Middle East<\/span>, <\/span>Indian Transport & Logistics News<\/a><\/span> reports, citing a statement from DP World<\/span>. Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) will operate the new route with four vessels, each with a capacity of 2.4k TEU. <\/span><\/p>\n

The line\u2019s maiden ship MV MSC Krittika arrived at DP World\u2019s International Container <\/span>Trans-shipment Terminal (ICTT) in Kochi last week<\/span>, <\/span>according to <\/span>the statement. <\/span><\/p>\n

Details: <\/span>\u201cThe new service will provide direct and seamless connectivity between Cochin, Mundra, Karachi, Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait (with Shuwaikh Port), Qatar (with Hamad Port) and Sri Lanka (Colombo). This will create a faster, stable, and reliable service for the traders across the India-Middle East corridor and leverage the strong partnerships between the two regions for boosting economic growth,\u201d the Indian news site quotes the press release as saying.<\/span><\/p>\n

This latest line will be the third weekly service connecting DP World Cochin to the Middle <\/span>East<\/span>, the news outlet reported. <\/span>The terminal can handle post panamax ships \u2014 vessels that exceed a capacity of 5k TEU \u2014 and has processed more than 6 mn TEU of shipping since it began operations in 2011, the DP World statement added.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
