The agreement opens the door to joint work on port development, digitalization, and sustainability \u2014 spanning renewable energy, waste management, and emission cuts. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Why this matters:<\/strong> By expanding into Constan\u021ba, AD Ports is extending its presence along the Middle Corridor, building on recent investments across Central Asia and the Caucasus. The Black Sea port offers a potential link between these inland assets and European markets, supporting the development of an alternative east-west trade route. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Location, location, location:<\/strong> Constan\u021ba\u2019s position on the Black Sea \u2014 and at the center of the Danube-Black Sea Canal \u2014 makes it a critical gateway between maritime routes and inland Europe. The port handled 88 mn tonnes of cargo and around 1 mn TEUs in 2025, cementing its role as a multimodal hub for trade flows, particularly grains moving out of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<hr style=\"height:2px;border-width:0;color:gray;background-color:gray\">\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong><a id=\"wwtt2\"><\/a> <\/strong><strong>ENERGY \u2014 Arab Gulf oil producers can restore 50% of their shut capacity in just <\/strong><strong>two <\/strong><strong>weeks once the Strait of Hormuz reopens<\/strong> and can ramp that up to 80% just a month later, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-04-14\/iea-says-gulf-can-resume-half-of-shut-oil-fields-weeks-after-war?embedded-checkout=true\" style=\"\">Bloomberg<\/a> cites the International Energy Agency as saying in its last monthly oil report. The resumption would be contingent on companies mobilizing workers, contractors, and stabilizing supply chains. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The final 20%? <\/strong>That might take longer to restore, primarily due to reduced pressure in the fields and other technical constraints. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>But it\u2019s not so easy: <\/strong>Reopening Hormuz has become more complicated after the US naval <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/logistics\/2026\/04\/14\/us-blockade-of-iranian-ports-puts-gulf-shipping-on-high-alert-as-brent-briefly-tops-usd-100\/\" style=\"\"><\/a><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/logistics\/2026\/04\/14\/us-blockade-of-iranian-ports-puts-gulf-shipping-on-high-alert-as-brent-briefly-tops-usd-100\/\" style=\"\">blockade<\/a> took effect earlier this week, pushing crude briefly past USD 100 \/ bbl and putting regional producers on high alert after Tehran threatened to retaliate against wider maritime infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">Market watch<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Oil<\/strong><strong> prices recorded a mixed bag this morning as supply risks persist with Hormuz still <\/strong><strong>mostly shut<\/strong>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/energy\/oil-prices-fall-second-day-expectations-us-iran-talks-may-resume-2026-04-15\/\" style=\"\">Reuters<\/a> reports. Brent crude futures gained USD 0.40 to trade at USD 95.19 \/ bbl by 04.20 GMT, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) fell USD 0.23 to USD 91.05 \/ bbl.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<hr style=\"height:2px;border-width:0;color:gray;background-color:gray\">\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The Baltic Index <\/strong><strong>maintains upward<\/strong><strong> trajectory: <\/strong>The Baltic Exchange\u2019s dry bulk index \u2014 which tracks rates for the capesize, panamax, and supramax vessel segments \u2014 <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/tradingeconomics.com\/commodity\/baltic\" style=\"\">rose 4.6%<\/a> to 2,354 points on Tuesday. The capesize gained 6.8% to 3,671 points, while the panamax index increased 2% to 1,900. The smaller supramax was up 1.8% to 1,344 points.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<hr style=\"height:2px;border-width:0;color:gray;background-color:gray\">\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong><a id=\"wwtt3\"><\/a> <\/strong><strong>Global<\/strong><strong> oil demand is now expected to shrink by 80k bbl \/ d this year<\/strong> \u2014 a 730k bbl \/ d downgrade from last month\u2019s outlook, as the disruption rips through consumption patterns, according to the International Energy Agency\u2019s (IEA) <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.iea.org\/reports\/oil-market-report-april-2026\" style=\"\">latest monthly report<\/a>. The reversal comes after the IEA had already cut its 2026 growth estimate to 640k bbl \/ d <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.iea.org\/reports\/oil-market-report-march-2026\" style=\"\">last month<\/a> \u2014 meaning the outlook has now swung from growth into outright decline. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The hit is front-loaded<\/strong>, with global oil demand falling by 800k bbl \/ d y-o-y in March, set to drop by 2.3 mn bbl \/ d in April, and projected for a 1.5 mn bbl \/ d drop in 2Q \u2014 marking the sharpest contraction since Covid-19. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>On the logistically strained supply side:<\/strong> Global oil supply fell by 10.1 mn bbl \/ d in March to 97 mn bbl \/ d, as infrastructure attacks and tanker restrictions around Hormuz choked flows. Flows through the strait \u2014 normally some 20 mn bbl \/ d \u2014 have been reduced to just 3.8 mn bbl \/ d. The export loss exceeds 13 mn bbl \/ d, pushing cumulative supply losses to more than 360 mn barrels in March and a projected 440 mn in April. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Oil with no exit is piling up: <\/strong>With exports effectively blocked, crude and product storage started ballooning across the Middle East, with floating storage rising by 100 mn barrels and onshore stocks up by 20 mn barrels. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The watchdog\u2019s base case assumes flows begin to normalize by midyear<\/strong>, but it also lays out a prolonged disruption scenario with deeper economic fallout. \u201cIn this case, energy markets and economies around the world need to brace for significant disruptions in the months to come,\u201d the IEA said. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Opec is holding a calmer line:<\/strong> The group still forecasts global demand <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/logistics\/2026\/04\/14\/today-can-a-port-blockade-squeeze-iran-without-closing-hormuz\/\" style=\"\">growing by 1.38 mn<\/a><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/logistics\/2026\/04\/14\/today-can-a-port-blockade-squeeze-iran-without-closing-hormuz\/\" style=\"\">bbl \/ d<\/a> this year, implying consumption of roughly 106.4 mn bbl \/ d, standing in contrast to the IEA\u2019s call for a slight contraction to just under 105 mn bbl \/ d \u2014 a gap of around 1.5 mn bbl \/ d on next year\u2019s outlook. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">Data point<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>SAR 1.6 bn \u2014 that\u2019s the net income <\/strong><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mubasher.info\/news\/4592641\/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A3%D8%B1%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%AD-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%86%D9%88%D9%8A%D8%A9-%D9%84%D9%82%D8%B7%D8%A7%D8%B9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%82%D9%84-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D8%B9%D9%88%D8%AF%D9%8A-%D8%AA%D8%AA%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%AC%D8%B9-%D8%A5%D9%84%D9%89-1-58-%D9%85%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%B1-%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A7%D9%84-%D8%A8%D8%B6%D8%BA%D8%B7-%D8%B7%D9%8A%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%86-%D9%86%D8%A7%D8%B3-\/\" style=\"\">recorded<\/a><\/strong><strong> by Saudi Arabia\u2019s nine <\/strong><strong>listed<\/strong><strong> transport companies in 2025<\/strong>, down 27.4% y-o-y after Flynas swung to a SAR 527 mn net loss from SAR 433.5 mn in net income a year earlier.
