Ports and logistics infrastructure are among the sectors piquing Kuwait\u2019s interest, alongside renewables, industry, and real estate, we were told. Morning rates came on the back of big drops on Wednesday, where Brent fell 3.8% and WTI dropped by 4.2%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>MEANWHILE- The International Energy Agency (lEA) has finally admitted its earlier oil <\/strong><strong>demand projections needed an update <\/strong>\u2014 and now sees oil and gas demand continuing to rise until 2050, according to its <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2025\/11\/901.pdf\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">World Energy Outlook 2025 (pdf)<\/a>. The agency expects the world to fall short of its climate goals, signaling that fossil fuels will maintain a dominant role for decades. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>IN CONTEXT-<\/strong> <strong>The agency\u2019s <\/strong><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2024-10-16\/world-set-for-cheaper-energy-on-shift-from-oil-and-gas-iea-says\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">earlier forecasts<\/a><\/strong><strong> had projected that oil and gas demand would peak this decade<\/strong> and decline toward 2050. Now, it\u2019s aligning more with <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/7c901e9a-f424-464c-883f-d2d33786871d\/today:-adnoc-inks-another-eu-lng-agreement-%2B-uae%25e2%2580%2599s-khazna-makes-moves-in-italy\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Opec\u2019s view<\/a>, which sees demand continuing to grow through to mid-century on the back of rising usage in road transportation, aviation, and petrochemicals. This also comes amid a shift in US priorities under President Donald Trump, who has been calling for more oil and gas production and revoking renewables-friendly policies. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The agency used two scenarios for analysis:<\/strong> Under the IEA\u2019s current policies scenario (CPS) \u2014 which reflects existing government measures rather than future climate ambitions \u2014 oil demand is projected to reach 113 mn bbl \/ d by mid-century, around 13% higher than in 2024. In the stated policies scenario (STEPS) \u2014 which includes announced but not yet implemented policies \u2014 demand peaks \u201caround 2030\u201d and stabilizes near 96.9 mn bbl \/ d in 2050. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Why the two scenarios?<\/strong> The return to CPS and STEPS reflects \u201cgrowing uncertainties in the political, economic, and energy context,\u201d IEA\u2019s Executive Director Fatih Birol told <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-11-12\/iea-reinstates-bullish-oil-demand-growth-scenario-in-key-report?srnd=phx-industries-energy\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Under CPS<\/strong>, sustained demand would absorb global oil and LNG oversupply faster, pushing crude prices to around USD 90 \/ bbl by 2035. Meeting that demand would require some 25 mn bbl \/ d of new projects. Our region is expected to remain the dominant oil exporter, sending out 3x more oil than the next-largest exporter in 2035.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>LNG will be the next big thing:<\/strong> Final investment decisions for new export projects have surged in 2025, with some 300 bcm of annual capacity expected to come online by 2030 \u2014 a 50% increase in available global supply.
