Turkey later suspended operations following an arbitration court order, currently being appealed, to pay a USD 1.5 bn compensation to Iraq. Disruptions within the Strait of Hormuz \u2014 which handles <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/95320a92-24c2-4a57-9421-a9a5e2cd2f4f\/specter-of-hormuz-closure-revives-interest-in-dormant-pipeline-projects\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">83% of Iraq\u2019s oil exports<\/a> \u2014 and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/23fcab0d-7b3e-49b6-8821-3b3a17290992\/today:-a-new-auto-hub-in-jafza-%2B-singauto-invests-aed-100-mn-into-new-kezad-facility\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">prolonged talks<\/a> between the governments of Iraq and Kurdistan have incentivized the renewed efforts to resume the Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong><a id=\"wwtt1\"><\/a> <\/strong> <strong>#2-<\/strong> <strong>EU <\/strong><strong>sanctions<\/strong><strong> UAE firm for supporting shadow fleet:<\/strong> The EU has placed sanctions on UAE-based <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.intershippingservices.com\/index.php\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Intershipping Services<\/a> for operating the Gabonese and Comorian flag registries, which it accuses of flagging vessels transporting sanctioned Russian crude oil and petroleum, according to a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2025\/7\/1313.pdf\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">statement (pdf)<\/a>. The bloc claims that by flagging such vessels \u2014 some of whom are allegedly controlled by Russian giant Sovcomflot \u2014 the UAE company is aiding Moscow\u2019s shadow fleet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Intershipping Services?<\/strong> The firm is the sole authorized representative for Gabon\u2019s maritime administration, with branches in India and Greece, according to its <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.intershippingservices.com\/about-intershippingservices.php\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a>. Its services include ship registrations, mortgage registrations, ship audits, flag-related services, and STCW endorsements. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Iranian <\/strong><strong>oil magnate, Dubai firms also targeted:<\/strong> The EU has also sanctioned Iranian oil businessman Hossein Shamkhani and his Dubai-based firms Admiral Shipping and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/milavousgroup.com\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Milavous Group<\/a> for allegedly supporting Russia\u2019s shadow fleet, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-07-21\/eu-sanctions-iranian-oil-tycoon-for-role-in-russian-trade\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg<\/a> reports. The bloc alleges that Milavous Group blends and rebrands Russian crude oil to obscure its origin for export, while Admiral Shipping facilitates the transport and sale of Russian crude. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>#3- <\/strong><strong>Israel <\/strong><strong>has struck Houthi targets in Yemen\u2019s Hodeidah Port<\/strong>, which it claims is being used to supply the militant group with Iran-sourced weapons, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/middle-east\/israeli-military-attacks-houthi-targets-yemens-hodeidah-port-2025-07-21\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Reuters<\/a> reports, citing a statement from the Israeli military. The nearly 11 mn bbl\/d increase is tied to the region\u2019s anticipated supply growth, as it continues to expand production capacity over the next two decades.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Asia-Pacific remains the primary destination for Middle Eastern crude<\/strong>, absorbing more than 80% of the region\u2019s exports throughout the outlook period. Shipments to the region are forecasted to grow from 15.2 mn bbl\/d in 2024 to 16.9 mn bbl\/d by 200, and then jump to 23.5 mn bbl\/d by 2050, driven by rising demand in Asian economies. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Europe is also expected to deepen its reliance on Middle Eastern barrels<\/strong>, with imports projected to grow from 1.5 mn bbl\/d in 2024 to 2.4 mn bbl\/d by 2030, and 2.8 mn bbl\/d by 2050. The report cites the quality of crude as a key factor behind sustained European demand. Shipments to North America are seen increasing in the medium term, reaching a peak of 1.5 mn bbl\/d in 2040 before falling back to 1.1 mn bbl\/d by 2050 as US demand tapers off. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Domestic crude use in the region will grow from 8.2 mn bbl\/d in 2024 to 10.8 mn bbl\/d in 2050<\/strong>, driven by expanding refining capacity and rising product export. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>ALSO- Africa\u2019s total crude and condensate exports will hold steady at around 5.2 mn bbl\/d through 2035<\/strong>. However by 2050, they are expected to decline to 4.2 mn bbl\/d, driven by rising domestic demand and strategic value addition. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Consumption on the continent is projected to nearly triple<\/strong>, rising from 1.8 mn bbl\/d in 2024 to 4.5 mn bbl\/d by 2050. Opec attributes the growth to a mix of population expansion, industrialization, and a push in refining and infrastructure meant to reduce reliance on imported fuel products. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Europe will remain a key export destination in the near term<\/strong>, with flows peaking at 3 mn bbl\/d in 2030 before gradually falling to 2.3 mn bbl\/d by 2050. Exports to North America will decline significantly, reaching just 100k bbl\/d by 2045, as African barrels lose ground to Latin American suppliers. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The Asia-Pacific region is positioned as a stable and growing market.<\/strong> Exports to the region are expected to remain at 1.9 mn bbl\/d through 2030, rise modestly to 2.2 mn bbl\/d by 2040, and then ease to 1.8 mn bbl\/d by mid-century. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>#2- Baltic index snaps upwards trajectory:<\/strong> The Baltic Exchange\u2019s dry bulk sea freight index \u2014 which tracks rates for the capesize, panamax, and supramax vessel segments \u2014 <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/tradingeconomics.com\/commodity\/baltic\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">dropped 1.8%<\/a> to 2,052 points on Monday. The capesize decreased 3.3% to 2,9814 points, while the panamax index dipped 0.2% to 1,915 points. The Sokhna Port terminal investment \u2014 which was <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/30add363-e640-4dcc-b348-577935303ce6\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">announced in 2023 as part of a USD 1.6 bn bundle<\/a> to construct new terminals at the Ain Sokhna and Dekheila ports \u2014 is estimated to have cost USD 250 mn. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>ICYMI-<\/strong> Construction on the Ain Sokhna terminal began in <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/2f31638f-9f27-46b8-b3eb-1aedfd2efa6e\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">July 2024<\/a> by construction firm EDECS, with operations slated for January 2026. EDECS has secured <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/87dbcd15-67ba-4718-a405-2dd07ab270f5\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">USD 93 mn<\/a> in credit facilities from NBK Egypt to finance the project.
