The countermeasures \u2014 which include a combination of export controls and tariffs on US agricultural products \u2014 came in as a swift response to the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/ece245da-cdc3-44e8-b7b4-4c6e4f0d6cfd\/today:-egypt%25e2%2580%2599s-wheat-storage-gets-eu-funding-%2B-pmi-season-is-here\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">US\u2019 move to double its China tariffs to 20%<\/a> this week. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The details: <\/strong>China has retaliated with a 15% tariff on US chicken, wheat, corn, and cotton, as well as an extra 10% levy on US soybeans, sorghum, pork, beef and more starting 10 March.
