Its automation solutions subsidiary Transfora <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/64473fca-b867-4eac-abf1-29eab3c0d5ac\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">was chosen to develop<\/a> a digital operations platform for Egypt\u2019s Suez Canal Economic Zone during the same month. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong><a id=\"wwtt2\"><\/a><\/strong><strong>#2- Egypt could sign agreements next month to liquefy Cypriot gas in local facilities:<\/strong> French energy company TotalEnergies and Italian energy giant Eni and the Madbouly government will next month ink agreements to transport Cypriot gas to Egypt to be liquefied and exported, the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/cyprus-egypt-natural-gas-eni-total-cronos-57fa77debdd89dbc466b73657d753ed2\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">AP<\/a> reported on Friday, citing unnamed officials. Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides will visit Cairo on 17 February to oversee the signing of the agreements, he said in a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Christodulides\/status\/1882804210196164628\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">post on X<\/a> on Friday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Where is the gas going? <\/strong>Gas coming from Cyprus\u2019 Cronos deposit will be exported to markets including Europe, while the future of gas coming from the Aphrodite field is still being discussed \u2014 gas from the field could be used to meet domestic demand or exported. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>REMEMBER-<\/strong> Back in  <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/9b8d84d2-e1b6-4545-8b74-35496ca2f40c\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">September<\/a> , the Oil Ministry reported that TotalEnergies wanted to supply gas from its fields in Cyprus to Egypt for liquefaction and re-export as LNG or to be fed directly into the grid. This followed news that Egypt and Cyprus  <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/195ade17-5823-4009-b234-6c816d712840\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">were considering establishing an energy corridor<\/a>  that would see Cyprus send natural gas to Egypt to be liquified and exported to global markets.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>#3- <\/strong><strong>Shipping giants <\/strong><strong>to continue steering away from Red Sea:<\/strong> Shipping giants Maersk, CMA CGM, and Adnoc will continue to steer away from the Red Sea despite the Gaza ceasefire agreement and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/4744233e-4cb8-485f-ae03-b58a42216d8c\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">a vow by the Houthis<\/a> to halt attacks on non-Israeli-linked vessels, according to a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/middle-east\/adnoc-shipping-rules-out-quick-return-red-sea-ceo-says-2025-01-24\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Reuters<\/a> report on Friday and statements <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.maersk.com\/news\/articles\/2025\/01\/24\/red-sea-gulf-of-aden-update\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cma-cgm.com\/news\/4980\/red-sea-gulf-of-aden-update\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>. Maersk said there is still a high-security risk for commercial vessels operating in the Red Sea, while CMA CGM said it will continue to reroute around the Cape of Good Hope, although adjustments could be made on a case-by-case basis. \u201cAs we speak today, we cannot say it's almost completely gone, and it's a go-ahead for all the fleet to go inside the Red Sea.
