agreement to expand their 25-year-old trade accord after nine years of stalled negotiations.<\/strong> The agreement \u2014 catapulted by the looming threat of US tariffs with Trump\u2019s inauguration \u2014 will reduce barriers for EU companies wishing to operate in Mexico and remove or lower barriers on new sectors, such as services and agricultural products, according to a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/en\/ip_25_248\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p 60% European or Mexican components.
