Let\u2019s dive right in.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">WATCH THIS SPACE-<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong><a id=\"wwtt1\"><\/a><\/strong><strong>#1- <\/strong><strong>Some 91 agreements worth SAR 8.3 bn were signed at Saudi\u2019s Supply Chain and <\/strong><strong>Logistics Conference in Riyadh<\/strong>, which concluded on Monday, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.spa.gov.sa\/en\/N2228571\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Spa<\/a> reports. The agreements aim to enhance the operations and efficiency of supply chains in the Kingdom. Details on the companies involved and the specific agreements were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>ICYMI<\/strong><strong>-<\/strong> KSA\u2019s Saudi Arabia Railways said it would expand its North Train freight line at a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/697d28fa-6622-4288-a831-20afa92b919d\/today:-ebrd-extends-a-loan-to-marsa-maroc-%2B-pif-closes-15%2525-acquisition-of-heathrow\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">cost of SAR 5 bn<\/a>, to strengthen the connection between the Kingdom\u2019s rail networks and east coast ports to support its growing mining sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong><a id=\"wwtt2\"><\/a>#2- Morocco plans to increase its airport capacity from 38 mn to 80 mn passengers by <\/strong><strong>2030 as the kingdom prepares to jointly host the 2030 World Cup with Spain and Portugal<\/strong>, according to a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2024\/12\/1648.pdf\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">statement (pdf)<\/a>. The country is also <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/logistics\/en\/news\/story\/762b575f-9229-4b82-8e09-fb7021d956fd\/morocco%25e2%2580%2599s-oncf-taps-sgtm-for-a-usd-200-mn-railway-contract\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">improving<\/a> its high-speed train network, aiming to extend it to Marrakech and with plans to extend it later to Agadir. Additionally, Morocco is investing in expanding and renovating 45 stadiums and building a new 115k-seat stadium near Casablanca. The expected cost of upgrading the stadiums is estimated around USD 500 mn, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbcarabia.com\/131865\/2024\/16\/12\/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%BA%D8%B1%D8%A8-%D9%8A%D8%B9%D8%AA%D8%B2%D9%85-%D8%B2%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%AF%D8%A9-%D8%B7%D8%A7%D9%82%D8%A9-%D9%85%D8%B7%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%AA%D9%87-%D8%A5%D9%84%D9%89-80-%D9%85%D9%84%D9%8A%D9%88%D9%86-%D9%85%D8%B3%D8%A7%D9%81%D8%B1-%D8%A8%D8%AD%D9%84%D9%88%D9%84-2030\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">CNBC<\/a> reported. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong><a id=\"wwtt3\"><\/a>#3- DP World is looking to commission a third rail line at its in-land rail terminal in <\/strong><strong>Haryana's Pali-Rewari<\/strong>, Indian news outlet the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/infra.economictimes.indiatimes.com\/news\/railways\/dp-world-set-to-expand-freight-handling-capacity-at-its-pali-rewari-rail-terminal-facility\/116417608\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Economic Times<\/a> reports, citing comments made by VP of Rail and Inland Terminals Adhendru Jain at a press briefing. The move is expected to boost Pali-Rewari\u2019s cargo handling capacity by 25% and will expand the facility\u2019s current capacity of handling 190 container rakes per month up to 240 containers.
