France sign agreements worth USD 1<\/strong><strong>0 bn: <\/strong>Morocco has inked EUR 10 bn worth of agreements with France in several areas including ports, renewable energy, and green hydrogen, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/frances-macron-moroccan-king-cement-reconciliation-with-business-deals-2024-10-28\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Reuters<\/a> reports, citing French officials familiar with the matter.<strong> Among several agreements: <\/strong>French shipping firm CMA CGM signed an agreement to invest in a Moroccan port terminal. French President Emmanuel Macron <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/france-recognise-moroccan-autonomy-plan-western-sahara-only-basis-lasting-2024-07-30\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">backed its position<\/a> on the Sahara in July, paving the way for a rapprochement between the countries. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong><a id=\"wwtt3\"><\/a> #2- <\/strong><strong>Alexandria\u2019s Think Big Shipping and Logistics is looking to expa<\/strong><strong>nd in the <\/strong><strong>Middle East and Gulf region<\/strong>, according to a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zawya.com\/en\/press-release\/companies-news\/think-big-shipping-and-logistics-decides-to-expand-strongly-in-the-middle-east-and-gulf-ecx87udg\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>. The Alexandria-based firm is looking to boost its local operations by developing modern logistics centers in strategic locations \u2014 including Cairo and Alexandria \u2014 to boost shipping and distribution efficiency as well as integrate smart shipping tech to reduce operational costs. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Making moves in KSA + UAE:<\/strong> The firm plans on developing advanced logistics centers in major Saudi cities including Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam to support regional and international trade flows. The company is also eying the UAE, with plans on providing integrated logistics services including sea, air, and land freight, as well as fostering partnerships with key players including DP World and national airlines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">MARKET WATCH- <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>#1- <\/strong><strong>Oil <\/strong><strong>prices extended their slump on news that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin <\/strong><strong>Netanyahu is holding a meeting to pursue a diplomatic solution in Lebanon<\/strong>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/markets\/commodities\/oil-prices-edge-up-us-plan-refill-reserve-offers-support-2024-10-29\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Reuters<\/a> reports.
