Meanwhile, imports fell 4.8% yo-y to QR 10.1 bn, while rising 6.6% y-o-y on a monthly basis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong> DATA POINT #2- <\/strong><strong> T <\/strong><strong> urkey\u2019s trade deficit narrowed sharply in September <\/strong><strong> due to <\/strong><strong> slowed economic activity and a weaker TRY<\/strong>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2023-10-04\/turkey-s-trade-deficit-narrows-after-imports-slump-on-weak-lira?srnd=economics-trade#xj4y7vzkg\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg<\/a> quotes Turkey\u2019s Trade Minister Omer Bolat as saying. The gap in foreign trade fell under USD 5 bn, compared to USD 9.6 bn last year. Turkey\u2019s exports increased 0.3%, while imports fell 14.1% Bolat added. Exports have held up better despite the country\u2019s biggest markets in Europe showing signs of falling demand, Turkish exporter <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/tim.org.tr\/en\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">TIM<\/a> is cited as saying by the outlet.
