launched four new Special Economic Zones in the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:700\">kingdom <\/span><span style=\"\">to reinforce its position as a global investment hub, located in Riyadh, Jazan, Ras al Khair, and King Abdullah Economic City.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700;\">HAPPENING TODAY-<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"\"> <a id=\"wwtt1\"><\/a> <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:700\">Supply chain issues see polarized opinions among global finance: <\/span><span>Discussions between finance ministers and central bank governors in Washington have highlighted deep differences in opinions on the best course for the global economy, <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a On the other hand, IMF chief Kristina Georgieva warns that efforts to promote supply chain resilience risk leading to \u201cfragmentation\u201d in the global economy if they are pursued too aggressively, Bloomberg reports. At the center of that risk is the growing rift between the US and China. Poorer countries are particularly at risk in such a scenario as they would be forced to make difficult decisions on which trade bloc they wish to join. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"\"><a id=\"wwtt2\"><\/a> <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:700\">Clashes in Sudan leave hundreds dead, close the country\u2019s airspace:<\/span><span style=\"\">Battles <\/span><span>between the Sudanese army and paramilitary forces continue for the fourth day, despite international efforts to end the fighting, t<\/span><span>he <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-africa-65293538\" style=\"\">BBC<\/a><\/span><span> reports.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\"> More than 100 people have died since Saturday in violence between the army and the Rapid Support Forces paramilitary group. Located less than 90 km from Jeddah Airport, the new zone will have easy access to global trade through the airport. Furthermore, EV giant Lucid is slated to produce 150k EVs per annum from a new base at KAEC, SPA reported.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">#2- Jazan SEZ:<\/span><span style=\"\"> Located in the kingdom\u2019s southwest corner, Jazan SEZ is w<\/span><span style=\"\">ithin easy access of the large and well-equipped regional port of Jazan, which is the largest in the kingdom for the export of goods and import of raw materials<\/span><span style=\"\"> an<\/span><span>d <\/span><span>livestock<\/span><span>.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\"> This zone will target trade with \u201cfast growing markets in Asia and Africa,\u201d SPA said.
