The agreement will remove trade barriers, facilitate the international expansion of SMEs, and reduce or eliminate tariffs on 96% of product lines between the countries<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">This is the latest in a series of similar agreements for the UAE<\/span><span style=\"\">, which has finalized pacts <\/span><span>with India, Indonesia, Turkey and Georgia, the statement said. The agreements come as part of the <\/span><span>country\u2019s push to double its GDP to AED 3 tn by 2030. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">#2- Higher Suez Canal transit fees for oil tankers <\/span><span style=\"\">went into effect at the<\/span><span> beginning of the month. Some 404 vessels called at the port in in March, 120 more than the previous month. The greenback\u2019s position at the center of global trade took another hit a few days ago when China settled a bill for LNG imports from the UAE in CNY <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasdaq.com\/articles\/china-completes-first-yuan-settled-lng-trade\" style=\"\">for the first time<\/a><\/span><span>. The Kuwaiti warehousing and industrial developer\u2019s revenues rose 77.6% during the year to reach KWD 863.4 mn. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">Agility\u2019s aviation assets saw ups and downs last year: <\/span><span style=\"\">Agility\u2019s aviation services reported <\/span><span style=\"\">KWD 294 mn<\/span><span style=\"\"> in revenues, including National Aviation Services\u2019 (NAS) full-year performance and five months of Menzies\u2019 results. <\/span><span>The company\u2019<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">s ground handling operations partially recovered due to the recovery of air travel, but this was \u201cslightly offset\u201d by a reduction in revenue from covid-19-related services provided mainly in Kuwait, it said. United Projects for Aviation Services Company (UPAC) reported a 28.2% y-o-y  increase in revenue for 2022, mainly on the rebound in airport-related services after the lifting of covid-19 restrictions. Global Clearinghouse Systems (GCS), Agility\u2019s customs-modernization company, reported 4% y-o-y revenue growth in 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">What they said:<\/span><span> \u201cAgility had a strong 2022, marked by two major acquisitions that are reshaping the company and creating new opportunities.
